Now that I have your attention……
I am back from Japan and very jet lagged. In fact, this might be the only productive thing I do today.
I had the pleasure to do the Osaka Comic Expo in Japan May 1st-3rd.
The expo was great fun and here are some commission highlights. I did 15 commissions on Sunday alone….

Instead of paper, the commissions are normally on blank covers or Shikishi boards. These are cool, square like, paper boards that can have rough or smooth surfaces to draw on. I personally liked the smooth and found myself liking them quite a bit! I may buy some to work on here in the states.
I met some great people and bought some great art myself.
My 2 buddies from art school met me in Osaka and we travelled together for over a week to Kyoto and Tokyo after that. We ate great food, shout out to the Momo’s in Tokyo and the Halal spicy chicken in Kyoto!
I bowed to Deer, took a rather touristy samurai class, and saw many beautiful scenes. It was a great vacation and wonderful job trip all wrapped into one.

I also went to the Nintendo store, Ghibli Museum, and the Masamune Shirow exhibit.

It was all very inspiring and I’ve made my next list of adventures if Japan let’s me back in ;)
Thanks for reading,
Awesome to see so many wonderful commissions come from the expo! Japan looks so beautiful and is at the top of my list of countries to go visit next!
